A Trip to St. Lucia - And 3 Sandals Resorts!
Dear Valued Clients,
The island of Saint Lucia is unique for so many reasons. It’s the only country in the world named after a woman. How appropriate that it’s also one of the friendliest and most beautiful destinations. It’s home to three Sandals resorts (more than any country other than Jamaica). It provides a quintessential Caribbean experience like nowhere else with its rich history, a mix of English and French influences and its scenic landscape, lush and vibrant at every turn, that forces you to slow down and soak it all in.
After spending some time recently at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, I couldn’t wait to return and share my thoughts with you, especially since I had the chance to visit all three resorts during my trip.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is located on its own peninsula with the tranquil waters of Rodney Bay on one side and the magnificent Atlantic Ocean on the other. The 360° views are spectacular from anywhere at this resort. During dinner one evening at Gordon’s Over-the-Water Restaurant with its panoramic vistas, white-glove service, and outstanding seafood dishes, I couldn’t help but smile. Have I mentioned how much I love my job?
Now, let’s talk about how much of a hidden gem that the nearby Sandals Halcyon Beach truly is. The resort has undergone a major transformation in recent years while keeping its charm and high-level of personalized service intact. The new Crystal Lagoon Pool is certainly a welcome addition. As the Caribbean’s longest pool at 600-feet, it’s perfect for your clients to lounge leisurely poolside with a good book, swim underneath the many bridges or simply grab a beverage (or two) at the signature Sandals swim-up pool bar at its center.
Another hallmark feature of Sandals Halcyon is their famous Kelly’s Dockside Restaurant. Set out on a 150-foot pier, it’s a special treat to dine here so you know that I had to conduct some “quality control” for myself. The restaurant’s recent renovations left me in complete awe. It looks right out of the pages of a design magazine. Here’s a fun fact – two of the four restaurants that comprise Sandals Over-the-Water Dining Collection are in Saint Lucia. How amazing is that?
My third and final stop was at the regal Sandals Regency La Toc, which was actually our first resort in Saint Lucia over 25 years ago. This majestic property is set on a 220-acre estate with a half-mile, crescent-shaped beach. During our comprehensive resort tour, I was able to take a look at several of their refurbished rooms. Sandals Regency La Toc is lovingly referred to as the “Emerald of the Caribbean” and let me tell you, it’s shining brightly these days. From top to bottom, it simply oozes glamour. It’s no wonder why couples from around the world stay here. You would be surprised to know just how many different accents I heard during my visit one afternoon. It certainly reinforced the global reach of the Sandals brand.
One of the best things about our resorts in Saint Lucia – and believe me, there are lots – is the Sandals exclusive exchange program, which offers your clients an unbelievable value with three times the fun on the island. With complimentary shuttle transportation between all three Sandals in Saint Lucia, they can enjoy 27 restaurants, 21 bars, 11 pools, 2 golf courses and so much more.
For those who haven’t been to our resorts in Saint Lucia lately, I strongly encourage to contact me so you can see them for yourself.
